Library Rules
This is not a lending library. Due to the historical nature of many of our resources, we request you observe the following rules:
- All visitors must sign the registration book and check in with Library staff
- Smoking, food, and drinks are not allowed in the library
- All briefcases, bags, personal gear, etc. must be stored in lockers or on the coat rack
- No library material will leave the Reading Room...
we reserve the right to inspect all parcels, bags and papers
- Personal copiers, scanners, and cameras are not allowed in the library
- Laptop computers ARE ALLOWED in the library — electrical outlets are available
- Self-serve microfilm can be read and copied @ 25 cents per copy
- Patrons are not allowed in the stack area
- A maximum of one (1) reference will be made available to a researcher at any one time
- Do not lean or write on documents or volumes
- Copies are to be made by a staff member @ 25 - 50 cents per copy
- Collection Management Policy
- A maximum of ten (10) copies from any one source is allowed
- Some documents may not be photocopied
- Permission to publish material reproduced from the library's collections must
be obtained... a reproduction fee
may be charged and a credit line,
"Courtesy of the Greene County Historical Society." will be required.
